Fashion influencers in India are creators who show how clothes, accessories and styling look on a real person, mostly on Instagram and YouTube, and whose audience buys on what they see. A fashion brand booking one is choosing a format and a point of view, and the checks that matter are whether the audience can buy from the brand and whether a gifted garment has been labelled as advertising.

This guide comes from vexo.club — an influencer marketing agency run from one desk in Delhi NCR. It sorts fashion creators by what they make, names no public creator it cannot confirm from the creator’s own page, and leaves out follower counts, which move daily and do not say who buys. “Fashion blogger”, “fashion creator” and “style influencer” are searched as different phrases and describe the same working people.

Fashion creators in short

In short

  1. Fashion creators are sorted by format, because the format decides what a brand can ask for: get-ready-with-me, styling guides, hauls, menswear and occasion wear.
  2. The checks that matter are whether the audience can buy from the brand and whether a gifted garment has been labelled as advertising.
  3. A paid post, a gifted garment, an affiliate link, a discount code or a hosted trip carries a label; a garment the creator bought does not.
  4. Claims about material, origin and sustainability are statements of fact, and the brand holds the evidence.

Who are the fashion influencers in India?

They are creators whose main subject is dress: outfit-of-the-day posts, get-ready-with-me videos, hauls, styling guides, menswear and ethnic wear. Some began as bloggers and moved to Instagram; others started on video. The useful way to tell them apart is by the format they make, because the format decides what a brand can ask for.

Which Indian fashion bloggers and creators are public on Instagram and YouTube?

Many, and almost all of them work mainly on Instagram. This guide names none of them, on purpose. It names a public creator only where the creator’s own site or channel confirms what they make, and the fashion creators the desk looked at either publish mainly on Instagram profiles that cannot be read without signing in, or keep sites that no longer resolve. A name that cannot be confirmed from the creator’s own page is not printed here; the roster below is described from its records instead.

Live follower counts are on each public profile, and they change daily, so none is typed here. Two creators with the same count can have audiences of very different size in the cities a brand sells to, which is why the audience check comes before the fee.

Which fashion creators are on the vexo.club roster?

The Fashion & Style roster lists these creators today, each with consent on file and described below only from its record. Commercials are on request on every one.

Facts are the record’s own. The last column is how the creator works with the desk, as the record labels it.

Divija Pandey (@divijapandeyy) is described in her record as a fashion and lifestyle creator known for stylish content around fashion, beauty, food, Bollywood and everyday lifestyle. Nischita Babu (@nischitababu) is described as a Bengaluru-based fashion and lifestyle creator known for content around fashion, beauty, grooming and luxury lifestyle. Talented Ritu Insan (@talentedrituinsan) is listed as exclusive to vexo.club, so brand partnerships go through the desk and a brief that names her goes to the desk first.

Divija Pandey and Nischita Babu are labelled “Network — independent”: bookable through the desk, with their management staying with them. A fashion brief that needs a creator outside the roster is cast to the brief, with the shortlist back in 18 hours, with audience fit and rate cards. The full list is on the roster page.

Are there fashion influencers by city?

Yes, and the city matters less than people assume. A creator who lives in one city often sells to another, and a brand selling in a city needs viewers who can reach its stores or whose pin codes it delivers to. The desk’s city guides cover the creators and the language of each market: influencers in Delhi, Mumbai influencers, Bangalore influencers and Hyderabad influencers. The brief-by calendar lists each city’s season by month in the calendar.

The same idea runs the other way. Delhi creators in the roster film in Hindi and English, and a Bengaluru creator in English and Hindi. A brief for a regional launch in another language needs the language in the shortlist, as the desk’s guide to running a regional launch in four languages explains.

Do fashion influencers have to label gifted clothes?

Yes, if there is a material connection. ASCI’s influencer guidelines define it broadly: money, free products with or without conditions, including those received unsolicited, discounts, gifts, trips and affiliate links all count, and disclosure is required even when the creator’s evaluation is unbiased. Where there is no connection and the creator bought the garment, no disclosure is needed.

Gifted, affiliate or paid: the label follows the connection

Needs a label

  • A paid post, reel or story
  • A gifted garment, even unsolicited
  • A discount code or an affiliate link
  • A trip or event hosted by the brand

Does not need one

  • A garment the creator bought and chose to show
  • A brand mentioned with no connection of any kind
  • A post where the advertiser confirms in writing there is no connection
  • Opinions on products the creator paid for
ASCI’s permitted labels include Ad, Sponsored, Collaboration, Partnership, Free gift and Affiliate, and the platforms’ own paid-partnership tools.

The label sits upfront and prominent, in English or the post’s own language, and not only in a bio or behind a “more” tap. The full rules are in ASCI disclosure for brands, and the brand is responsible for the post being in line with the ASCI Code, so the check sits in the approval round and not afterwards.

What claims can a fashion creator make?

Only claims the brand can support. In fashion the claims that cause trouble are material, origin and sustainability: “pure cotton”, “handwoven”, “eco-friendly” and “ethically made” are statements of fact, and the brand holds the evidence. The Central Consumer Protection Authority’s Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Greenwashing or Misleading Environmental Claims, 2024, ask for words such as eco-friendly, green and sustainable to be backed by adequate, accessible substantiation, and ASCI’s Code treats unsubstantiated claims as misleading, so the approved wording comes from the brand and the creator stays inside it.

Claims in a fashion brief

  • Do

Take the approved wording from the brand and stay inside it

    Don’t

Say “pure cotton”, “handwoven”, “eco-friendly” or “ethically made” without the evidence

  • Do

Back “eco-friendly”, “green” and “sustainable” with adequate, accessible substantiation

    Don’t

Use those words with nothing on file

  • Do

Ask the brand’s counsel about look-alike and “dupe” content before the brief

    Don’t

Present a copy as a designer original

Not legal advice: the desk’s working reading of the rules the post names.

The creator is also expected to do due diligence. ASCI’s guidelines advise influencers to satisfy themselves that the advertiser can substantiate its claims, and the brief makes that easy by supplying the claim and its support at the start. Look-alike and “dupe” content is a separate matter: a post that presents a copy as a designer original is an intellectual-property question the brand’s counsel should answer before the brief.

When do fashion creators get booked?

Around weddings, festivals and the seasonal drops, and the brief goes in a month before. Wedding and festive looks are shot weeks before the date they appear, so a brief that arrives at the festival is late. Dates move every year, so the plan is built on months.

A fashion brief calendar, by the month a window opens

MonthOn the calendar
JanuaryWinter wedding season November to February. Bridal wear, jewellery, occasion wear and salon content.
MarchSpring and summer drops Lighter fabrics, linen, cotton and resort wear; vacation edits.
JulyMonsoon and end-of-season Rain-ready looks, footwear, and sales that need a clear message.
SeptemberFestive season September to November. Ethnic wear, gifting, jewellery and festive edits.
DecemberYear-end parties Party and occasion wear, winter layers and the gifting window.
Qualitative windows, not dates. Brief a month before, and check the year’s festival calendar.

The desk’s guide to planning festive-season influencer campaigns sets out the plan month by month, and creator whitelisting covers running the brand’s budget through a creator’s handle, which a festive push often needs.

How does a fashion brief run from sample to live post?

It runs on logistics before creative. Samples must reach the creator in the right size and on time, and the looks, the label and the claims must be agreed before the shoot. A late sample is the commonest reason a fashion post slips.

How a fashion brief runs

  1. Brief Objective, looks, audience and the approved claims
  2. Samples Right size, right date, and the gifting recorded
  3. Shoot and draft Label on the frame; claims within the brief
  4. Approval Draft approved only once the label is seen
  5. Live and review Posted, labelled, read again after posting
The sample and the size are agreed before the creative is.

What should a fashion brand check before booking creators?

It should check who buys before it checks who looks good. Fashion audiences are large and varied, and a creator whose viewers are admirers rather than buyers will not sell the range. Checking an influencer’s audience sets out the exports, geography and comments the desk reads before casting.

Before booking a fashion creator

  • Do the creator’s exports show buyers in the cities the brand delivers to
  • Does the format fit the product: styling, haul, menswear or occasion wear
  • Is every material, origin and sustainability claim on the approved list
  • Are gifted pieces, affiliate links and discount codes labelled in the plan
  • Is the sample shipped in the right size, with the date written down
  • Are usage rights and the length of any licence in the contract
  • Is there a takedown step if a product is recalled or withdrawn
The first line decides whether the rest matters.

Rights are the line most often priced late. Using a creator’s photographs on the brand’s site, in marketplace listings or in paid ads is a licence with its own term and fee, and ads run through the creator’s handle are whitelisting. Usage rights and influencer contract clauses cover both.

Should a brand book a fashion creator directly or through an agency?

A brand can brief creators directly, through a creator’s manager, or through an agency; each route works. An agency adds a second reader on every draft, and at vexo.club every paid post carries its disclosure and is checked for it before sign-off. The desk is in Delhi NCR, contracts and briefing take inside a week, and first content is live in 10–14 days for most categories. Instagram influencer marketing covers the main fashion platform.

Questions brands ask

Who are the top fashion influencers in India? There is no list that holds for every brief, and the desk does not rank creators. Fashion creators range from styling and menswear to occasion wear, so the useful list is by format, and the useful check is whether the audience can buy from the brand.

Do fashion influencers have to disclose gifted clothes? Yes. ASCI’s influencer guidelines treat free products, including unsolicited ones, as a material connection, and require disclosure even when the creator’s opinion is their own. The label goes upfront and prominent, not only in a bio.

What is the difference between a fashion blogger and a fashion influencer? A blogger writes and styles on a blog, while an influencer is anyone whose audience acts on what they show; most Indian fashion creators now work mainly on Instagram and YouTube. For a brief the useful difference is the format, such as get-ready-with-me, haul, lookbook or menswear.

Can a brand run a creator’s fashion post as an ad? Yes, with a usage licence and whitelisting rights, both agreed in the contract with a term and the media named. Running ads through the creator’s handle is priced separately from the post itself.

Does vexo.club have fashion creators on its roster? Yes. The Fashion & Style roster lists Divija Pandey, Nischita Babu and Talented Ritu Insan. Divija Pandey and Nischita Babu are labelled “Network — independent” and Talented Ritu Insan is exclusive to vexo.club; commercials are on request.

Send the desk a brief — it comes back as a shortlist and a directional band, never a public price.
