Influencer marketing agencies in India: six kinds, and how to tell them apart

Influencer marketing agencies in India differ more by kind than by size, and the useful question is which kind fits your brief. Some run a whole campaign, some represent creators, some sell software and some do PR, so a list that mixes them tells you little. vexo.club — an influencer marketing agency run from one desk in Delhi NCR — is one of the agencies described here, so read the parts about it with that in mind. This article sorts the field into six kinds, says where agencies are based, and gives five checks you can run on any of them, vexo.club included, before the first call.
What is an influencer marketing agency?
An influencer marketing agency is a company that plans and runs paid campaigns with creators on a brand’s behalf, and answers for the result. The work is four pieces: casting (matching creators to the brief and checking each audience), production (brief, script review, shoot and edit), paid amplification (running a creator’s post as an ad from their own handle, which is called whitelisting) and reporting. Agencies differ in how many of the four they do themselves. How vexo.club does each is set out on the influencer marketing agency page.
Size is the weaker guide. EY India’s report of 2 April 2024 on influencer marketing in India projected the sector at INR 3,375 crore by 2026, a compound annual growth rate of 18%, and reported “77% of brands expressing confidence in their agencies’ capability to effectively manage influencer marketing campaigns”. The same EY report names determining ROI as marketers’ biggest challenge, which is why the reporting an agency offers sorts one from another as much as its roster does.
What are the six kinds of influencer marketing agencies in India?
Six: the full-service campaign desk, the talent manager, the platform or marketplace, the PR and celebrity shop, the regional-language specialist and the performance studio. The table gives each kind’s work, when it fits, and the question that exposes it.
Six kinds of agency, by what each is built to do
| What it does | Fits when | Ask this | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-service campaign desk | Casting, contracts, production, paid, reporting | A launch needs one owner | Who runs it, and who answers when it slips? |
| Talent or creator management | Represents creators and negotiates for them | You already know the creators you want | Whose interests does the contract protect? |
| Platform or marketplace | Software to find, brief and pay creators | Your team runs campaigns itself | Who writes the contract and the report? |
| PR, celebrity and gifting | Public-profile names, press, seeding | The aim is conversation and status | What are the usage rights, in writing? |
| Regional-language specialist | Creators in one language or region | One market decides the brief | Which language are the comments in? |
| Performance and UGC studio | Many short creator-style assets, tested as ads | The channel is paid media | How is a sale attributed? |
- Full-service campaign desk. Casts, contracts, produces, amplifies and reports under one owner. Confluencr and Grynow each describe themselves as an influencer marketing agency; Confluencr gives Bengaluru as its main office and Grynow gives Gurugram. vexo.club is of this kind.
- Talent or creator management. A talent manager represents creators and negotiates for them, so its duty runs to the creator and not to the brand. That is a legitimate business and a different one from running your campaign. No manager is named here, because none was confirmed against its own site.
- Platform or managed marketplace. Qoruz describes itself as an influencer marketing and intelligence platform and gives Bengaluru as its base. Kofluence describes its offering as AI-powered influencer marketing solutions and lists several cities on its contact page. A platform is software you operate; the brief, the contract and the report stay with your team.
- PR, celebrity and gifting. Glad U Came describes itself as a PR and influencer marketing agency in Mumbai. This kind suits a brief where public profile and press matter more than conversion.
- Regional-language specialist. Zapplr Media describes itself as a South India influencer marketing agency and lists Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Trivandrum. This kind suits a brief decided by one language, because it casts by the language of the comments, not by the creator’s postcode.
- Performance and UGC studio. Makes many short, creator-style assets built to be tested as ads, and reads its results in cost per acquisition. No studio is named here, for the same reason as above.
Those lines come from each company’s own site, read on 5 October 2026. They say what a company says it is, not how good it is, and services change, so confirm them with the company before you shortlist. Kind is also a separate question from creator tier; for that, read influencers in marketing, by tier.
The line most often blurred is agency versus platform. An agency does the work and answers for it; a platform gives your team the tools to do the work.
Agency or platform: who does the work
Agency
- Casts, contracts, produces and reports
- Answers for the result
- Quotes creator fees and its own fee as lines
Platform
- Search and discovery tools
- Your team writes the brief and the contract
- Your team reads and acts on the report
Where are influencer marketing agencies in India based?
In the sites read for this article, the main offices named were in Bengaluru, Gurugram and Mumbai, and several agencies list a string of cities instead of one. A city name on a page tells you where a company says it is, not where its work is done.
Mumbai’s market is shaped by talent managers, production houses, podcast studios and casting offices within a few kilometres of each other, which is why that city leans to managed talent and high production values. That is the desk’s reading of the city, written up on its Mumbai page. It is not a count of firms.
Based in is not the same as works in. A city page can be written by an agency with no office there, so ask which work the agency does itself in your city and which it subcontracts. vexo.club has one desk, in Delhi NCR. Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Jaipur are served from it, and there is no office in any of them. Distance adds a call, not a day.
The desk’s page for each market is below, with the questions that change from one to the next. Two cities have an article of their own: influencer marketing agencies in Delhi compared, and influencer marketing agency in Mumbai, on talent houses, PR shops and campaign desks.
- Influencer marketing company in Delhi NCR, and the guide to choosing an influencer marketing company in Delhi for electronics and D2C launches.
- Influencer marketing company in Mumbai.
- Influencer marketing agency in Bengaluru and influencer marketing agency in Hyderabad.
- Influencer marketing agency in Pune and influencer marketing agency in Chennai.
- Influencer marketing agency in Kolkata and influencer marketing agency in Jaipur.
How do you check an influencer marketing agency in five minutes?
Run five checks in this order. Each takes about a minute, and the first two need only the agency’s name or number.
Five checks before a shortlist call
- CompanyRegistered name, by CIN or name
- GSTINLegal name matches the company
- Sample report and contractUsage, disclosure, unverified figures
- Managed or bookedWhich creators it represents, which it books
- Source for big numbersNo source, no weight
- The company. Search the company’s name or CIN in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ company master data. A brand name is not a company; the registered name and its date of incorporation are what to compare with the website.
- The GSTIN. Enter it in the GST portal’s taxpayer search. The legal name that comes back should match the company in the first check.
- A sample weekly report and a contract. Ask for both before a call. Look for usage windows, disclosure terms, and how the report treats a figure it cannot verify.
- Managed or booked. Ask which creators the agency manages under a written agreement and which it books brief by brief. vexo.club labels every roster profile this way, and how it labels creators is public.
- The source of any big number. A campaign count, a network size or a reach total with no source is a claim, not a fact.
vexo.club passes the same checks in the open. The company is Vexocore IT Services Private Limited, CIN U72900RJ2022PTC085082, GSTIN 08AAJCV1239L1ZY, registered in Rajasthan and incorporated in 2022; the details are on the press page, and the verify page lists the domain, email address and WhatsApp number it actually uses.
How should you read a “top 10 agencies” list?
As a source of names, not as a ranking of quality. Ask three things of any list: who wrote it, how it is ordered, and what the author gains from the order.
Some lists are written by agencies that place themselves first. Directories order by their own filters, by reviews and, in some cases, by paid placement, and each should say which in its own disclosure. A list that does not say how it was ordered has not told you what the order means.
A list that puts a PR shop, a software platform and a talent manager in one column has also mixed different products. Sort by kind first, then compare within the kind. This article ranks no one, vexo.club included, because nobody can honestly rank agencies from outside them.
What should you get in writing before you sign an influencer marketing agency?
Five lines: the objective, the timeline as dates, every cost as its own line, usage and exclusivity per deliverable, and who checks ASCI disclosure. If one of them is missing from a proposal, that is the question to put to that agency.
Every cost as its own line
- Creator feesAt rate-card prices, per deliverable
- Usage rightsOrganic, whitelisting, amplification, each with a window
- ProductionCreator’s own setup or a studio shoot
- ExclusivityCategory and dates, quoted
- Management feeA fixed percentage, stated separately
- GSTShown as its own line
- Paid mediaA separate budget behind whitelisted posts
- Objective. One outcome, written in the brief.
- Timeline as dates. Brief to shortlist, shortlist to contract, contract to first content, set against your launch.
- Every cost as a line. As above. No prices are published here; the cost page explains what moves a quote.
- Usage and exclusivity, per deliverable. Agreed in writing before the shoot.
- Disclosure. Who checks the ASCI label before a post goes live.
The buyer’s guide covers how to choose the best influencer marketing agency in India as ten questions to put to any firm. The detail behind this list is in how influencer agencies charge, the contract clauses that change the price and how to brief an influencer marketing agency. Where does vexo.club fit, and where does it not?
It fits a brand in India that wants creators shortlisted, contracted, produced and reported by one operator. It does not fit a brand looking for a self-serve influencer platform, a public rate card or a per-post marketplace, and where a brief needs a leaner route the desk says so upfront.
The desk’s clock from brief to first content
- Hour 18Creator shortlistWith audience-fit data and rate cards
- Inside a weekContracts and briefing
- Day 10–14First content liveFor most categories
- One operator per brief. The person who scopes it runs it.
- Fees as line items. Creator fees at rate-card prices, with a fixed-percentage management fee on top.
- Casting after checking. Audience checks run before a creator is cast.
- Production and paid in house. An in-house studio makes the content; the desk runs whitelisting and paid amplification.
- Disclosure checked. ASCI disclosure is checked before a post goes live.
- A weekly report. Reach, engagement rate, cost per acquisition, CPM and the next move. Unverified figures are marked and never totalled.
The base is Delhi NCR and the work is national. To start, send the desk a brief — objective, budget band, market and timeline — and a shortlist comes back in 18 hours. The three services, sold and priced separately, are on the services page.
Questions brands ask
Which is the best influencer marketing agency in India? There is no single best. The right agency is the kind that fits the brief — a full-service desk for a launch, a regional specialist for one language, a platform for a team that runs campaigns itself — and that answers the same questions in writing.
How many influencer marketing agencies are there in India? There is no single register that counts them, and many are digital or PR agencies with an influencer practice. Directories mix PR firms, software platforms and talent managers under one heading, which is why sorting by kind comes first.
What is the difference between an influencer marketing agency and an influencer platform? A platform is software you use to find and pay creators yourself. An agency does the casting, contracting, production and reporting for you, and answers for the result.
How do I check that an influencer marketing agency is genuine? Look the company up in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ company master data and its GSTIN in the GST portal’s taxpayer search. Then ask for a sample report and contract, and for the source of any figure on its site.
Do agencies in Mumbai or Delhi work across India? Most say they do. Ask which work they do themselves in your city and which they subcontract. vexo.club runs from one desk in Delhi NCR and has no office in the other cities it serves.
What does vexo.club do? It shortlists and contracts creators, produces the content in its own studio, runs whitelisting and paid amplification, and reports reach, engagement rate, cost per acquisition and CPM every week.
Send the desk a brief — it comes back as a shortlist and a directional band, never a public price.
